It is time to say goodbye to NYC. Some of you have been wondering exactly how many shows and events I’ve attended during our stay in New York. I will have seen Broadway and off-Broadway shows. These include dramas, musicals, and dance. I’ve enjoyed every one of the shows, except for one. You can see a full list of my 20 ratings here. https://www.show-score.com/member/roberta-3110 I’ve been to Madison Square Garden to see Billy Joel. Times Square: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
As we end our stay here in New York City, I will start a series on my experiences in the various districts of Manhattan that I have enjoyed on numerous occasions. My first will be about Times Square. I’ve decided to pull each of the various districts out as a separate blog post so you can read my experiences of visiting these areas and decide if you want to do it if you come to New York City. While some of these areas will appear as one of the top 10s to visit, they’re generally not my favourite places. For…
How to See Celebrities in New York City
New York City is pretty big, with many people, but many celebrities are also in town. You never know if you might just run across one on the street. And who doesn’t want to see Celebrities in New York City? Well, the odds aren’t that high. I’d like to share three other ways to enjoy “The East Coast Tinseltown” in New York for free. Review of Broadway’s The Book of Mormon
Here is my review of one of the most popular Broadway shows: “The Book of Mormon,” which I saw a couple of weeks ago. Written by the creators of “South Park” and the composer of “Avenue Q,” this musical is irreverent, hilarious, and completely over-the-top. I am not a fan of “South Park” as I find it too crude, but that is not the case with this musical. The story follows two young Mormon missionaries, Elder Price and Elder Cunningham, as they embark on a mission to convert the people of Uganda to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day…
Broadway Review of Pictures From Home Remarkable
Today I got rush tickets on Broadway to see a matinée of “Pictures From Home” starring Nathan Lane, Zoë Wanamaker and Danny Burstein. This is my very first Broadway play, and here is my Review of Pictures From Home. This is a challenging play, and I think it would not be easy to pull off without these three excellent actors. While Nathan Lane might get most of the credit as the headliner, in my opinion, the son’s part is the most challenging. I love Nathan Lane, and I’ve seen him in many performances on TV and in movies and was…
