Well, that’s a silly question. Of course, Niagara Falls itself is worth a visit at least once. Now I understand if you’re heading out there and not with kids, the town itself can be overly touristy, crowded, and garish. Its two casinos and the central area on Clifton Street look more like Las Vegas, even if it is one of the world’s seven natural wonders. Having been to Niagara Falls as a child in the winter and recently a couple of weeks ago, I have some recommendations. We stayed at a bed-and-breakfast just outside the main strip of Niagara Falls….

Delightful Stratford a Timeless Legacy
It had been a very long time since I had visited Stratford. While completing graduate school and in the area, I would surely see some of the plays each summer at the Festival. I often went with my Mum, from whom I had acquired a love of the theatre. Thomas Wolfe wrote “You Can’t Go Home Again,” but sometimes he was wrong. I don’t remember many of our trip’s details, but the atmosphere remains as wonderful as before. The fantastic Church restaurant opened the first year Mum and I went in 1975; it was our favourite. I specifically remember her…

Is Coney Island Worth The Visit
Who hasn’t heard of Coney Island and has these images from the 50s in movies? Ah, the 1950s – a time when Coney Island was at the height of its popularity and a beloved location for movies. But on our visit this past weekend, it seemed quite dated. I had a similar feeling when I visited Atlantic City. It felt a little rundown and seedy. That said, they were getting ready for the season. The boardwalk itself is lovely and stretches on forever to Brighton Beach. I can imagine it when it is bustling with locals in the summer, and…

Remarkable Live Taping of The View
Last week I went to two live tapings, Tamron Hall and The View. On Tuesday went to see Tamron Hall, and I must say I liked how it was organized. I didn’t have to stand in line that long before we got in and were able to put our coats and backpacks into a locker It was locked. Then we got to sit in a waiting room. It was much more intimate because I don’t think since COVID, they have completely filled the audience. There seemed to be quite a bit of space and room. They also seem to be…
