It is time to say goodbye to NYC.
Some of you have been wondering exactly how many shows and events I’ve attended during our stay in New York.
- I will have seen Broadway and off-Broadway shows. These include dramas, musicals, and dance. I’ve enjoyed every one of the shows, except for one. You can see a full list of my 20 ratings here.

- I’ve been to Madison Square Garden to see Billy Joel.
- We’ve been to Carnegie Hall to see an intimate concert in the presence of conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin in the Weill Room of Carnegie Hall.
- We’ve been to the Lincoln Center to see the opera Tosca.
- We went to two jazz performances. Jazz at Dizzy’s was such a treat.
- I have been to at least a half dozen lifetime beings of daytime shows and evening shows. The View has been my favourite.
- I’ve also attended several live presentations involving book readings with various celebrities at Symphony Space
Farewell and Goodbye to NYC
Museums
- We had a season pass for the Guggenheim and the Moma, which we have visited on numerous occasions.
- We’ve also been to the Whitney.
- We enjoyed the Met and the Met Cloisters.
- We also got a season pass to the Tenement Museum and have done almost all their tours.
Tours
- Three tours with Free Tours By Foot
- A guided tour of Lotte Hotel New York Palace
- A guided tour of Carnegie Hall
- A guided tour of the United Nations
Misc
- Yayoi Kusama exhibition “I Spend Each Day Embracing Flowers.”
- Visited both the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and the New York City Botanical Gardens,
- So so many parks; many times
- Ferry rides
- Churches
- Libraries
What we didn’t do
- During our stay here this time, we did not visit the towers and high-rise views since we did them all on our trip a year ago.
- We didn’t go to any stand-up comedy shows.
- We didn’t see any sports events.
- We didn’t eat out that much, preferring to use our money on various activities.
