It was our first decent weather day in over two weeks since we arrived in Europe.
The bad news is that all the up-and-down walking on cobblestones and steps after more than 60 days has caused a lot of pain in my left knee. I’m afraid that my knee is entirely shot, and I am worried that another knee replacement will be required sooner rather than later in the future. I set an appointment with my doctor to see if I can get a referral for a specialist.
We left Nazare and drove southward, circumventing Lisbon to reach the coast. We stopped for a short visit in the lovely little town of Sinces before heading to our final destination, Vila Nova de Milfontes.
I had read about a lovely little village, Vila Nova de Milfontes, and it seems to be one of the most excellent places to visit. This is probably due to the weather and the fact that it is smaller than the other places we have visited. It feels like the Greek Islands, where many houses are white and blue.
