I’m getting a little behind on this, but I’ve spent the last few days relaxing.
Louise says the trip is 80% great and 20% a pain in the butt. That 20% is travelling.
The New Zealand leg of the journey turned out to be even better than we could’ve imagined—special thanks to Ange and Deb for hosting and Jane for making time for us despite being busy.
How much “in the air” is too much?
Taking three different planes, picking up luggage to transfer, clearing customs, and arriving 12 hours later at your final destination is too much.
I am beginning to wonder if taking many short trips to avoid flights over nine hours was wise. We probably won't know until we finish our journeys, as two longer trips are coming up. I suspect it is six of one and half a dozen of the other.
