A beautiful day and what better way to enjoy the day than spend most of it at Golden Gate Park. We reserved some electric bikes, but first, we stopped for a lovely coffee at Haight Ashbury, which leads into the park.
The bike place promised to have the bikes ready for us, but they didn’t have any working. We were somewhat disappointed but walked down to the park entrance to find another bike rental place that was much more organized and $5 less.
So off we went to Golden Gate Park
We discovered that we were getting too old for much, but the electric bike certainly helped.
Then came back after two hours and took a bus to the botanical gardens, just part of the park. And we had a wonderful time. Although it’s rather confined, it doesn’t feel that way. San Francisco's climate allows so many little distinct sections covering Australia, New Zealand, succulents, the redwoods and many others.
I am so excited about all the different birds I see here. In the park, we saw many of the typical birds we had seen before, but in addition, Louise spotted Anna's Hummingbird.
We stayed until the park closed and picked up a bus to Japan town. It’s a lovely little area, and we had a great meal.
We then walked uphill back to our hotel. I find it interesting that it's always uphill no matter which way you go to the Hotel Majestic.
