Today we were considering the north rim and back to Page. However, as I looked at the driving time, I decided it was best to visit many amazing sites around Page Arizona. I still think that the North Rim is more majestic than the south rim of the Grand Canyon, BUT given all the other beautiful things we would be seeing on our journey, I didn’t think missing it would be too much.
We tried to book Antelope Canyon, but it was sold out for the day and the next day. We went to another tour company, and they did have some for the following day. So we booked one for the morning to give us enough time to get to Monument Valley later in the day.
Visiting Around Page Arizona was a pleasant surprise.
We headed to Glenn Canyon, further from the Colorado River and another national park. There is also Glenn Canyon Dam. Both are only a few miles from Page.
This day was supposed to be a rest day in some ways. And since we hadn’t slept much the night before, we returned to the hotel. Unfortunately, the bikers were still active around the area, which was a waste of time.
We were so depressed that I decided to screw it and pay again at another hotel. Since we did get a refund from the previous night, I decided it was essential to get a good night. We booked in at the Super8.
What an excellent decision.
